Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Corporate Human Resources Director to lead the HR function across our dynamic, multi-faceted resort operation—including dining, retail, lodging, and waterpark divisions. This role is instrumental in building a consistent, strategic, and efficient HR structure across the organization, ensuring high-performing teams and sustainable business growth.

The Corporate HR Director will guide and oversee all HR operations and HR Managers at each business entity, work closely with executive leadership to develop systems and strategies that support recruitment, retention, training, team member engagement, legal compliance, and organizational alignment.

Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to create standardized HR policies, practices, and procedures across the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, bringing forward innovative, data-driven insights into workforce planning, industry wage review, labor trends, and employee engagement.
  • Oversee the security and confidentiality of financial and personnel records maintained.
  • Maintain accurate employee compensation records and lead annual review and updates of all wages.
  • Annually evaluate our corporate benefit programs to ensure we are delivering value to our team members—while keeping costs sustainable and competitive for the company.
  • Evaluate current and future international employment programs.
Talent Recruitment & Retention
 
  • Evaluate and revamp hiring policies and procedures across the organization (ease of entry for new hires).
  • Continually look for new employment markets, sources, and pipelines.
  • Design and lead recruitment strategies that reduce time-to-fill and improve hiring quality.
  • Continuously reviewing and shifting with market trends.
  • Create and execute a company-wide employee retention program that promotes growth, recognition, and team member satisfaction.
  • Leverage analytics to manage recruitment advertising spend and measure ROI on hiring efforts.
Training, Onboarding, & Compliance
 
  • Overhaul and standardize onboarding and training programs to ensure consistency and effectiveness throughout the corporation.
  • Provide training and support to managers on employment law compliance, conflict resolution, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure all policies comply with current employment laws and industry best practices.
Employee Relations & Culture
 
  • Promote a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster strong communication between leadership and team members.
  • Monitor and elevate employee engagement through surveys, feedback loops, and actionable insights.
  • Oversee Corporate Leadership meetings and development content.
Other Duties as Assigned
 
  • Attend manager meetings and chair the Corporate HR Committee.
  • Attend Board of Director meetings regularly to report.
  • Work Family Representative shifts at both Bavarian Inn Restaurant and Bavarian Inn Lodge.
  • Foster strong communication between leadership and team members.

  • Strong understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 3+ years of previous HR leadership experience, preferably in hospitality or multi-unit business environments.
